HK-AIR provides information about the monitored temperatures in the cabin of the aircraft during flight. Temperatures in the cabin were controlled via three freon air conditioners run off the aircraft s auxiliary power unit cooling different sections of the cabin. Temperatures were measured via a one-wire system. Due to power constraints on the Gulfstream aircraft, an on-flight engineer controlled and monitored the air conditioner s usage and cabin temperatures to ensure the conditioners didn t fail and temperatures remained below 40 deg C, the maximum operation temperature for most instrumentation.
