ARM Aerial Facility (AAF) 2-Dimensional Stereo Probe - Horizontal (aaf2dsh)
Browse DataThe two-dimensional stereo probe (2D-S) is a cloud probe utilizing shadowgraphy to measure cloud drops and ice crystals in the size range from 25 m -ca. 1 mm, and can detect even larger hydrometeors with less accuracy. The 2D-S provides two-dimensional shadow images of the hydrometeors that are scanned individually along the flight path.
