Subject: | SGP/MFRSR/E2 - Failed Sensor results in bad data |
DataStreams: | sgpmfrsrE2.00, sgpmfrsrE2.b1, sgpmfrsrlangleyE2.c1, sgpmfrsrlangplotE2.c1 |
Description: | This instrument suffered from erratic and incorrect measurements in response to internal sensor problems. The majority of the data is not valid. Note: after 20030703, the instrument was removed from service. No spares are available at this time. |

Description: | A refurbished instrument and new data logging system were installed on 19 May 2007. There was an initial shading problem in the afternoon from 1900 UTC until sunset. Maintenance resolved the issue 5 July, so the last bad data are from the previous day. |

DataStreams: | sgpmfrsrE2.a0, sgpmfrsrE2.b1, sgpmfrsrlangleyE2.c1, sgpmfrsrlangplotE2.c1 |
Description: | The heater controller board failed allowing the instrument head temperature to climb too high. The higher head temperatures affected the data. Do not use data covered by this DQR. |

DataStreams: | sgpmfrsrE2.a0, sgpmfrsrE2.b1, sgpmfrsrlangleyE2.c1, sgpmfrsrlangplotE2.c1 |
Description: | Channels 673, 870 and 940 look really strange from sunrise until ~1830. Similar features are seen in EF4 and EF6 data at the same time (Unfortunately, EF5 data are missing). There was a regular site visit that is time stamped at 1840 that coincides with a discontinuity in the data. Data prior to the 28th and after ~1840 on the 28th look fine. |
