Subject: | SGP/MMCR/C1 - Reprocess: Incorrect units for "heights" field |
DataStreams: | sgpmmcrmomC1.b1 |
Description: | The "heights" field metadata indicates that units are "m AGL" (meters above ground level) when in fact the heights data are recorded in "m MSL" (meters above mean sea leavel). |

DataStreams: | sgpmmcrmomC1.b1 |
Description: | An isolated oddity in the ModeNum field of the sgpmmcrmomC1.b1 file for 2004.02.26 was identified. The following odd values appeared in the original cdf file, for 12 consecutive entries starting with profile 8611: 1047, -1, 14282, 20180, 8670, 3550, 8651, -29810, 30695, -1, 2030, 16183 The raw data were fine. This file was reprocessed on Sept 30, 2004. |

DataStreams: | sgpmmcrmomC1.00, sgpmmcrmomC1.b1, sgpmmcrspecC1.a0 |
Description: | During my daily review of the MMCR operaton, I noticed that the radar returns were out of synch with returns appearing all throughout the range gates. I remotely rebooted the MMCR and it returned to normal operation. |

DataStreams: | sgparscl1clothC1.c1, sgparsclbnd1clothC1.c1, sgpmmcrmomC1.00, sgpmmcrmomC1.b1, sgpmmcrspectraC1.a0 |
Description: | A power supply failed in the MMCR's receiver. During the period of this DQR, the radar would appear to work but the calibration is probably incoorect during good portions of this time. The power supply was replaced and normal operation resumed at 2115 on 02/11/2005. |

Subject: | SGP/MMCR/C1 - TWTA Faulting |
DataStreams: | sgpmmcrmomC1.00, sgpmmcrmomC1.b1, sgpmmcrspecmomC1.a0 |
Description: | The MMCR transmitter (TWTA) has been having a low helix current fault. This results in the transmitter shutting down. However, the radar continues to collect data. The MMCR restarts the TWTA at 0000 each day, hence the 2359 end times for many of these intervals. |

Subject: | SGP/MMCR/C1 - Polarization Mode Problem |
DataStreams: | sgpmmcrmomC1.b1, sgpmmcrspecmomC1.a0 |
Description: | The cross-polarization and co-polarization modes (6 and 5) were measuring cross-polarization only. This means that one of the control signals was not hooked up correctly. The signals were rerouted on 4/23/2008. The General Mode (mode 3) is a co-polarization channel and worked during this time period. The reason why we don't use the general mode all of the time is that the co-pol and cross-pol modes are temporally closer and make a better estimation of linear depolarization ratio. |
