Subject: | MAG/SASZE/M1 - solar ephemeris values for solar azimuth and solar zenith angles are |
DataStreams: | magsaszenirM1.a1, magsaszevisM1.a1, magsaszevisM1.a0, magsaszefilterbandsM1.a1, magsaszenirM1.a0 |
Description: | The GPS read by the SASZe was at times incorrectly reporting fixed/constant latitude and longitude values which were used by the SASZe software to compute erroneous solar ephemeris values. The zenith transmittance is related to the zenith radiance divided by the cosine(solar zenith angle). Erroneous solar ephemeris values for solar zenith angle will propagate to the zenith transmittances. |
Suggestions: | Do not use the zenith transmittance values. If necessary, correct values can be computed from the zenith radiance values using the lat and lon reported in the magnav datastream. |
