Step-by-step tutorial for using the ARM Data Cart (click on the image to enlarge)
To begin placing an order for ARM data, go to the ARM website and select either the instrument, measurement, or data tab.
Click on the instrument tab, then select an instrument (SMET) from the list of ARM Instruments.
You can choose an instrument by clicking on the "ARM Instruments" link at the upper left, or clicking on a link from the Instrument Categories list to the right.
On each instrument page, look for the "Build an Order" button in the right hand side navigation.
This will begin the data ordering process.
Once you are in the cart, choose a site and one or more specific instruments, depending on your data needs.
After selecting an instrument and a locale, select a date range for which you would like to order data.
This will ensure that the data you are looking for is in the database before you go any further.
Once the date range is selected, refine your query by choosing a specific facility and associated datastream.
You must save your selections to the cart at this point or your selections will be lost.
Once you are ready to place your order, the contents of the data cart are again displayed. You may click on the blue "X" to remove a specific datastream
if you decide you no longer want it.
Next, enter your ARM Data Archive username and click "Login." If you do not have an account set up at the ARM Data Archive,
click "Create New Account" and follow the registration process.
After logging in you may review the selected data files by clicking on "Review Selected Files and Order Data."
Each file in the cart is now listed individually and available for selection. Select "Submit Order" and your order will now be processed.
You will recieve a confirmation status and request number when the order has been recieved at the Data Archive.
Once the data are available for pickup, you will receive an email with a link to an FTP server.
You may go to the FTP server and download the data at your convenience within the next seven days.
