Description:
Soil temperature 3 was usually several degrees lower than the other four soil temperature 
measurements and usually did not follow a diurnal trend.

Soil moisture 3 was usually ten to thirty percent higher than the other four soil moisture 
measurements and usually did not follow a diurnal trend.

Avoid derived latent and sensible heat fluxes at times when the soil_temp_3 deviates from 
the other soil_temp_[1,2,4] by more than 1 C, or the soil_moisture_3 deviates from the 
other soil_moisture_[1,2,4] by more than 10%.
