The CPC count was lower than the CCN at the highest percent super saturation value (~1%) 
indicating an undercounting of the CPC due to either clogging or water condensing in the 
butanol. The CPC was removed and cleaned. The increase in signal relative to the CCN after 
cleaning was 5-10%.

Description:
Due to the thermal inertia of the instrument wall, slow signal response and a radial 
temperature gradient inside the instrument cavity, the reported RH and temperature inside the 
wet nephelometer are off by 2-10% RH and 1-2 degrees C. The radial temperature gradients 
inside the instrument need to be characterized at several locations within the instrument 
with respect to a calibrated Vaisala T and RH sensor at the instrument exit. The 
resulting fRH VAP needs to be recalculated and analyzed.
