Description:
On 1/15/2007 the E20 tracker failed due to weather.  On 3/14 it was replaced but 
configured incorrectly (presumably the wrong lat/long).  This wasn't discovered and corrected 
until 6/6/2007 1745GMT.

All shortwave instruments dependent on proper tracker were affected.  This includes 
measurements: downwelling shortwave diffuse and direct normal. Additionally, the global 
shortwave instrument have also been shaded during the second time range due to improperly set 
tracker.

Tracker appears to be out of alignment or inoperative during these times. The 
short_direct_normal (NIP) and down_short_diffuse_hemisp (8-48) data appear to be bad and not 
recoverable.

There were no instrument DQRs on this problem at the time this report was submitted.

Description:
The PSP was damaged by a lightning strike on 8/04/05 (22:10 GMT).  Data from other 
radiometers are good after this event.  The PSP, NIP and shaded 8-48 were replaced 8/17/05 and 
the system returned to service at 18:40 GMT.

Description:
Shortwave fluxes too low during this time (including best estimate, global, diffuse, 
direct normal, upwelling shortwave). 

LW upwelling and downwelling case and dome temperatures also noisy during this time.

The cause for this problem is not known. No instrument DQRs currently exist describing 
this problem.

Description:
Afer recovery from lightning strike the upwelling longwave SIRS Eppley PIR (UIR) had noise 
on both dome and case thermistor measurements.  On 4/12/2006 techs replaced defective 
j-panel at base of tower.

Noise didn't appear to have a bias but standard deviation went from 12-13 W/m2 during 
noisy period back to .75-1.5W/m2 after noise problem was eliminated.
