Description:
The temperatures reported by the SMOS at E15 started drifting high at about 
1300 GMT on 1 JUN 1998 until reporting 72.6 C, and then the sensor failed.  
It started reporting correctly again at about 1930 GMT on 2 JUN 1998.  The 
humidity data reported during this period is either questionable or missing.
The cause of the drift and subsequent failure as well as the cause of recovery
are unknown.  The techs reported no problems during the bi-weekly check on
2 JUN 1998 at 1850 GMT.
