Description:
A GPS problem associated with Vaisala BBSS ground station software issues caused the 
ground stations to enter into an error state when using GPS wind finding. In some instances, 
the flight was aborted due to the error state and no data was collected.  A workaround was 
developed to allow sondes to be launched without collecting wind data.

Description:
There were problems with the almucantar scans causing difficulty in tracking the sun 
between the almucantar scans for each wavelength. 

The instrument was due for calibration and maintenance. This unit was replaced on 
5/6/2010.

On 9/8/2010 the calibration of of the K-band channels was updated. This caused a slight 
decrease of the retrieved liquid water path. 

Updated calibrations have been applied to data from 7/1-9/8.  The LWP was decreased 
slightly as a result of the recalibration.  Reprocessed data were archived in November 2010.
