SGP/MFRSR/C1 - incorrect head ID in raw data
DataStreams:sgpmfrsrC1.00
Description:
On 980219 at 16:07:26 the head on the "C1" MFRSR was changed. The old head ID was "248";
the new ID was "919". When the head was changed, the parameter file was not updated, so
the raw data files recorded after 19980219 16:07:26 are stamped with the old head ID (248)
instead of the new head ID (919). This problem was corrected on 1998/02/26 at 05:06:19.

On 980803 at 19:07 GMT the C1 MFRSR head was changed. The OLD head was 919; the NEW head
was 248. The old head ID was stamped in the data files starting from 980803 19:07 until
98.08.06 05:06 GMT when the correct head ID began to show up in the data files.

Data quality is not affected. Only the raw data are affected because the head id was
manually corrected in the cdf data files.
Measurements:sgpmfrsrC1.00:
  • Raw data stream - documentation not supported

SGP/MFRSR/C1 - Irradiances too high
DataStreams:sgpmfrsrC1.a0, sgpmfrsrC1.b1
Description:
After the A/D convertor lock-up was corrected on 981014, the irradiances as measured by
the MFRSR were about 20% too high. 981018 is a particular egregious example of measured
irradiances that are too large. Cause of the problem is not known, though suspect some
moisture got into the instrument (this was a period of much precipitation). After 981024,
the MFRSR settled down and the irradiances returned to a normal range.
