SGP/MFRSR/E3 - 940 channel noisy, intermittent
DataStreams:sgpmfrsrE3.a0, sgpmfrsrE3.b1, sgpmfrsrlangleyE3.c1, sgpmfrsrlangplotE3.c1
Description:
Channel 940 drops out or is noisy at times. First noticed on 24 Aug 2006, it is "dead"
until 20 Sept 2006. Other dates where problems are noted:

30 Jan 2007 - 2 Feb 2007
1 April 2007
12 Aug 2007 - current

There could be other times when 940 was exhibiting problems that were not caught by the
mentor, so this DQR is being written to cover the entire period.

SGP/MPL/C1 - Scope temperature incorrect
DataStreams:sgpmplpolC1.b1, sgpmplpolavgC1.c1, sgpmplpolavgC1.s1
Description:
The scope_temp started to jump around on 6/29 at about 19:00 GMT between 24-32C. Then
~03:00 GMT on 6/30 the temperature exceeded the MAX flag value of 40C and was fluctuating
between 150-225C.

Temp probe connection was found to be loose and was reseated 20070806.

Ignore scope temp data and assume values are valid.

DataStreams:sgpmfrsrE3.a0, sgpmfrsrE3.b1, sgpmfrsrlangleyE3.c1, sgpmfrsrlangplotE3.c1
Description:
This site suffered from a severe shading problem beginning on 3/24. Data were affected
from sunrise to sunset. Do not use these data. Maintenance on 6/11 partially fixes the
problem. After 6/11, data can be used from 1700 to sunset. Maintenance on 8/5 finally
resolved the issue completely.

Continuing signal degradation
DataStreams:sgpmplC1.a1, DsgpmplC1.00, sgpmplcbh1scottC1.c1
Description:
Despite recent efforts (970310-970314) by the instrument mentor, signal
degradation of the MPL has continued. The degradation has continued to the
point that the effective range of the MPL is nearing 10 km. The instrument mentor and PI
have
concluded that an overhaul of the instrument by the vendor is in order.

DataStreams:sgpmplC1.a1, DsgpmplhrC1.00, sgpmplnor1campC1.c1, sgpmplcbh1scottC1.c1
Description:
Sometime early 11/11 the detector on the
MPL-004 blew out. The Detector was replaced by Albert Mendoza.
The instrument was operational on Jan. 23, 1999.

Link this to P981119.2 that reported the blown detector and the
