Description:	Data from October 1, 1999 through March 2001 from MFRSR.E7 should be used with caution. During this time period only minimal quality control and maintenance were provided to the SGP extended facility MFRSRs because these data were considered to be of questionable value under the best of circumstances. That decision was reversed in 2001 when Joe Michalsky identified a means to make the MFRSR data scientifically useable. In the interim, the MFRSRs developed problems with shading, leveling, calibration and all-out hardware failures and the stock of spare MFRSRs was depleted and not replenished. Most of the shading and leveling problems have now been corrected in the field as well as possible, but almost all of the extended facilty MFRSRs still need to be recalibrated or replaced.

Description:	A hardware change occurred on 20040922. Following this change, the head temperature was not being well regulated. The temperature should stay around 40 deg C, but often, especially in winter, values less than 35 deg C were observed. There was never any obvious problems in the irradiance data, but that is not unexpected as any issues would be subtle. It is likely the new Langley style calibrations being employed in the c1 level data will account for the lower head temperatures. Even with this expectation, however, we are including c1 streams in this DQR so users are aware of potential issues.
