SGP/AERI/B4 - Failure of AERI at Vici (BF4)
DataStreams:sgpaeriB4.00, sgpaerich1B4.a1, sgpaerich2B4.a1, sgpaeriengineerB4.a1, sgpaeriprofB4.c1,

Description:
The detector dewar failed during a power failure at midnight GMT on 10Feb02. All data
through 10Feb02 are good. The detector dewar failure resulted in the detector not being
cooled. A warm detector produces only noise. There is no usable data beginning 11Feb02 through
14Feb02 at which time the system was shut off and the detector removed for repair. All
spectral data is not usable in this period. Some meta data such as temperatures are usable.

SGP/AERI/B4 - Intermittent Failure of LW detector
DataStreams:sgpaeriB4.00, sgpaerich1B4.a1, sgpaeriengineerB4.a1, sgpaerisummaryB4.a1
Description:
The amplifier gain for the long wave (LW) detector intermittently failed. The result was a
decrease in LW responsivity by a factor of 2 whenever this occurred. The loss of
responsivity will increase the noise of the LW data. The user will need to determine whether
this increase in noise is significant enough to affect the data quality for their
application. The amplifier rapidly changed from failed to working. When the amplifier was working
the data are all green (good).
