It did not effect the wind speed readings, but wind directions had E and W reversed. Thus winds from 15 deg were reported as being from 345 deg, and vice-versa, and winds from 165 deg were reported as being from 195 degrees, and vice-versa.

Description:	The output from the relative humidity probe on E24 SMOS drifted low by as much as 5% when RH exceeded 80% by 15 OCT 97. The probe was replaced on 10 FEB 98 at 1900 GMT. The replacement probe reported values approximately 10% too high when RH exceeded 90%. That probe was replaced at 1830 GMT on 10 MAR 98.
