When the SWS NIR InGaAs spectrometer was replaced at the end of 2010 it came with a new
mapping of pixel to wavelengths. This updated table has never been applied in the ingest.
This amounts to about a 15 nm shift (spectra are being reported at about 15 nm longer
wavelength than actual). This affects all SWS measured spectra since Jan 2011 at
wavelengths > 950 nm.
Because the spectra measured by the SWS are blended within the wavelength range where they
overlap this problem will not be trivial for the end-user to correct. Comparison with
published spectroscopy data sets may permit the user to determine and apply a correction
to the NIR data.
Data will be reprocessed. |
