Description: | During the period in question, the Doppler lidar's scan schedule was modified temporarily
to support a small IOP at the SGP central facility. This change effects data acquired
after about 22:00 UTC on 20130627. Normal operations were resumed at about 2330 on 3 July
2013. The modified scan schedule resulted in the generation of sgpdlusrC1.b1 data files.
Each of these files contain a series of stares at several different elevation angles.
These scans were designed to measure turbulent statistics at several heights directly above
another nearby Doppler lidar system (LLNL's WindCube V2). A third Doppler lidar system
(OU's Streamline) performed coordinated and simultaneous stares over the WindCube. The goal
of these measurements is to retrieve three-dimensional turbulent statistics as a function
of height above the WindCube. For more information contact Dr. Petra Kline at the
University of Oklahoma. |
