Subject: | SGP/CSAPR/I7 - Missing sweep in volume |
DataStreams: | sgpcsaprvertI7.00, sgpcsaprsurI7.00, sgpcsaprsecI7.00, sgpcsaprrhiI7.00 |
Description: | The CSAPR lowest elevation angle changes throughout the day. Normally starts out at 0.5º and ends up around 2.6º with a majority of the angles at 0.75º. The problem is in the software ingest. This is the ingest that is internal to the radar software that converts the processed data from local buffer to MDV files. As a result there was a missing sweep in the volume coverage pattern (VCP). This missing sweep is not systematic. Therefore, there are missing PPI sweeps in the VCP. The problem was fixed with a configuration change in the software and changing the ingest to produce CF Radial NetCdf data. No such problems have been seen in the CF Radial NetCdf data |
