Description: | The first pressure value reported by the sonde after launch (966.1) is
lower than the surface pressure value (972.1) by a greater difference than
normally would be expected. This may indicate that the sonde was jarred
on launch, that the system mis-identified actual launch time, or that the
operator entered and incorrect value (typo or read too early). The
altitude values for this sounding will be wrong as will the ascent rates
during the first 30 seconds. If the ascent rates were such that the
sample acceptance criteria were violated, the pressure, temperature,
and RH values in the first part of the profile may be the result of
interpolation. |
